Welcome to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno

Our 2008-2009 Annual Report can be found here . It opens as a .pdf form.

•  View one of our Sunday Services by clicking on “See a Sunday Service Introduction” on our home page.

•  Our Sunday Services begin at 10:30 a.m., and end about noon . We're located on the north side of Alluvial Avenue , midway between Chestnut and Willow .

•  Please enter our church through the central double doors. Our Greeters wear a yellow sunflower. Please introduce yourself to one of them. They will answer any initial questions that you have and provide you with an information packet about our church. They will also offer you a name tag and the opportunity to sign up for our Church Newsletter . Our greeters are available after the service for any of your questions.

•  Your Greeter will then introduce you to one of our Ushers, who will provide you with the Sunday Order of Service and a hymnal. The Sunday Program provides the complete order of the day's service, the sermon subject, readings, songs, etc.

•  Following the service there is always coffee and conversation in the area near our kitchen. Introduce yourself! Our members would love to get to know you.

•  Newcomers with children. The care and education of your children is a priority in our church . Your Greeter will introduce you to our Director of Religious Education. She will provide you with information on our Church School programs. We have nursery care for infants and toddlers, and Church School for pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. For older children, we have a Junior Youth Group (grades seven and eight) and a Senior Youth Group (grades nine through twelve).

•  Church School Procedures. In the foyer, parents sign their children into church school. Then, children stay with their parents for the early part of the Sunday Service. Shortly into the service, children are invited to sit together in the center area of the sanctuary in front of the stage for the weekly Story for All Ages. After the story, the children leave the sanctuary and attend church school classes until about noon. After the service, parents go to their children's classrooms and sign their children out. Parents are then responsible for overseeing their children . Junior and Senior Youth Groups meet from 10:30 a.m. until noon on Sundays with their own special programs in another building.
