Welcome to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno!

We are a liberal faith community that honors the inherent worth and dignity of all people. We also believe that all life is interconnected and interdependent.  This means we have a sacred responsibility to act in the best interests of all people, not just a select few.  We are called to prioritize and protect the most vulnerable among us. We believe all of us are called to help shape a more just and compassionate world for all people. We side with love. Here we celebrate the spiritual curiosity of children, youth, and adults.

We would be honored to have you join us on our journey.

We Are An Official Welcoming Congregation

Each of us has worth and dignity, and that worth includes our gender and our sexuality. As Unitarian Universalists (UUs), we not only open our doors to people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, we value diversity of sexuality and gender and see it as a spiritual gift. We are an inclusive religious community and work for LGBTQ+ justice and equity as a core part of who we are. All of who you are is sacred. All of who you are is welcome.

We are a Welcoming Congregation, recognized by the Unitarian Universalist Association. This means we affirm and include people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary and queer at every level of congregational life—in worship, in program, and in social occasions—welcoming them as whole people.

We also recognize that there’s always something more to learn, and we remain open to deepening our understanding about the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary and queer people.
