Rachel Andréz (She/Her)
Director of Lifelong learning
Rachel Andréz is an educator with 8+ years of experience in providing for the educational,
emotional, and physical needs of children. She has worked with hundreds of children across
various ages as a teacher at multiple childcare centers throughout the Central Valley. She is deeply
committed to the work of lifespan spiritual development, multigenerational ministry, and creating a
vibrant, inclusive community of learning and growth for all ages.
Rachel Andréz is a passionate Afro-Latina educator, activist, and community organizer. A proud transracial adoptee and lifelong Central Valley resident, she is also a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Rachel discovered Unitarian Universalism through the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno, where she found a spiritual home that continues to nurture her growth and values.
She is honored to serve as staff within a place that means so much to her. When she’s not nurturing young minds or working for justice alongside her UU community, Rachel enjoys spending time with her two miniature schnauzers, reading a good book, tending to her succulent garden, and going on spontaneous day trips with her wife.
