Ron brings with him a lifetime of professional media production experience including 14 years at Valley Public Television, Producing and Directing countless local television productions from studio recorded shows to live broadcast productions and live event engineering. His remote video production experience includes annual events like the Selma Band Festival Parade and Easter Sunrise Service.
Born in upstate New York, his parents moved to Clovis when he was two, eventually landing in Madera where he attended school graduating high school in 1977.
He’s a life-long technical Geek beginning in elementary school as an Audio/Video assistant, after high school added media and communications as a Disk Jockey in the late 70’s. Then concert touring as an audio technician. Along the way he became a Computer Systems Technician for many operating systems.
Ron joined the UU choir when at the Millbrook location, and has participated ever since. He has a busy musical schedule as a member of “New Wrinkles,” a performance troupe for the over 55 crowd at Fresno City College. He’s also a member of the Fresno Community Chorus singing in the Master Chorale and the smaller Coro Piccolo. He formerly sang with Fresno Rainbow Singers and is a co-founder of the Fresno Gay Men’s Chorus.
Ron comes from two large families and enjoys working on the family tree. Since 2019 he has been sharing his love of the mountains as a tour guide in the local National Parks; Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia. Also a student of local folklore, he enjoys stories of historical valley and mountain experiences.
